SENIOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN – WORLD HEADQUARTERS

 

As a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting cost estimation, new product launch and leading standardization and innovation initiatives.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Interface with industrial engineering team to determine equipment requirements
  • Write technical purchasing specifications for custom assembly equipment
  • Project management of equipment through installation
  • Develop & maintain documentation of standards for key equipment
  • Travel to support plants 25% average, 50% peak

Your Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering
  • Project management
  • Technical writing
  • AutoCad Lt / 2D
  • Experience with assembly equipment; build pallets, conveyors, end of line testers etc
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Must demonstrate high attention to detail
  • Must have high sense of urgency

 

Bonus If You Have:

  • Experience in JIT seating or automotive
  • Experience with industrial control systems such as PLC
  • Define assembly process
  • Engineering / process change control
  • MOST trained
  • Line balancing
  • Standard work instructions
  • APQP
  • PFMEA
