The duties for this position will primarily be performing in-court updating including calling cases, taking minutes, facilitating Zoom court sessions to support high volume court sessions, provide support to courtroom participants; processing court orders, generating future hearing notices and the electronic routing court documents. Specific job duties will vary depending on business needs. Work will be 100% computer based and requires candidates to have reliable internet connection.
The Court Operations Associate position is a fast paced, highly detail oriented position with a variety of responsibilities such as performing advanced clerical work, providing customer service and ensuring compliance with applicable court rules, policies, and standards to achieve an impartial, accessible, fair, and timely system of justice. This position will work directly with the public, judicial officers, and other court employees by processing all case types. Duties require the application of independent judgement and the interpretation of established laws, policies, procedures, regulations based on training and knowledge gained through experience on the job.
This position is in the Minnesota Judicial Branch Court Operations Associate job classification and is in the AFSCME bargaining unit. This position will be located at Isanti County Court Administration, 555 18th Ave SW, Cambridge, MN 55008. The normal hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM. Initial days off: Court Designated Holidays.
EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES:

- Facilitate Zoom court sessions and provide support to members of the public attending hearings (i.e., admitting and renaming attendees, set up and manage multiple break out rooms, assisting parties with technical issues while on Zoom.
- Perform in-court updating including calling cases, taking minutes, processing documents filed and distributed in the courtroom, and recording required data regarding parties, documents, flags, comments, and events in electronic case management and other relevant systems in the courtroom.
- May perform the duties of an Electronic Recording Equipment Operator (EREO) including setting up and testing recording equipment, recording and monitoring court proceedings, creating courtroom log as necessary, backing up recordings in compliance with applicable policies and procedures, and shutting down recording equipment once recording has been completed.
- Attends and participates in division/team meetings and trainings; maintains knowledge of court policies, process, and procedures.
- Utilizes applicable technology (i.e., operating and information systems and/or programs) and office equipment to perform and complete work assignments.
- Administrative or other duties as assigned.
- Prepare and/or process proposed conciliation court orders, eviction orders, and other court orders as deemed necessary.
- Generate and distribute future hearing notices while completing varied clerical court work relating to civil, family, criminal and probate case processing on the Minnesota Court Information System (MNCIS), Microsoft Office, electronic File and Serve, SharePoint and other related computer systems.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of relevant job experience or greater, which may include but is not limited to customer service, administrative work, office, and clerical work
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Knowledge of court procedures and policies, laws, legal terminology and legal factors pertaining to the court.
- Knowledge of modern court practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of customer service practices.
- Skill in the operation of a personal computer, including electronic case management system and related applications and equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others within and outside of the Judicial Branch.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
