About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Survey Project Manager to lead complex surveying projects from conception to completion. This is a leadership-level role designed for a seasoned professional with at least 7 years of experience in land surveying, project management, and team leadership. You’ll play a pivotal role in mentoring staff, managing project delivery, and ensuring quality across both field and office operations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of survey projects—boundary, topographic, construction, and more—ensuring all are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project managers, project surveyors, CAD technicians, and field crews. Support their growth and ensure team cohesion.
Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction, clarity in scope, and proactive communication. Assist with writing proposals based on client request and requirements.
Technical Expertise: Oversee survey methodologies, quality control, compliance with state and local statutes and Galloway standards of practice. Provide strategic guidance on best practices.
Mentorship: Act as a knowledge resource for junior staff, fostering development and knowledge sharing within the survey group.
Licensure: Colorado Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license strongly preferred or in progress.
Technical Proficiency:
- Preferred experience with: Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), Deltek Vantagepoint
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach talent, and work cross-functionally with internal departments and external clients.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Experience with business development, proposal writing and billing review

Salary Range
Base pay for minimally qualified candidates $120,000 - $145,000 annually.
