We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to focus on the DrChrono group. You:

You have a strong skill set and proven background in automating software deployment pipelines, building infrastructure, and managing resources in AWS cloud. You have a solid understanding of infrastructure and the skills to integrate CI/CD pipelines into a secure and highly available production environment. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty with bare metal, open source and self-hosted solutions. You want to be part of an organization and a team that promotes trust, ownership and responsibility. Position Overview:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer in the EverHealth division, you will be a member of our growing DevOps team responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure in AWS, building and maintaining tools for application development and deployment, and providing support for application, data, and security engineers. You will be working on creating, improving, and modernizing cloud native application workloads, containerization, terraform modules, Ansible playbooks, and ensuring service uptime and scalability in response to surging user traffic loads. Our software engineering teams oversee numerous codebases that drive our customer-facing front-end and back-end API services and multiple third-party API integrations. Your role will involve providing support to these teams by enhancing and upkeeping our AWS cloud environments. This will include leveraging modern DevOps tools like docker-compose, Terraform, Lambda, CircleCI, and more. Additionally, we offer support to our data teams as they employ technologies like Fivetran, Redshift, and Apache Superset. They rely on these tools to implement and expand their data infrastructure within AWS, utilizing infrastructure as code and adhering to best practices in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform modules.
  • Collaborate closely with development, performance, and architecture teams to deploy new applications and provide assistance for the maintenance and enhancement of existing non-production and production environments.
  • Establish and sustain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and methodologies.
  • Containerize legacy applications, deploy and manage dockerized workloads on AWS, ensuring their ongoing maintenance and performance.
  • Introduce innovative deployment and release tools to enhance the productivity of development teams.
  • Work on enhancing dependability and reducing the impact of production deployments.
  • Assist with infrastructure and production support:
    • Support production and non-production infrastructure, including troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and automation
    • Support application components and dependencies, such as databases and queueing systems
    • Maintain and improve monitoring and alerting systems
    • Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure support and release deployments
