Job Description

Responsible to develop training needs assessments, plan, coordinate, and assist in the execution of internal and external training events for all personnel. Support continuous improvement projects. Plan, support, and coordinate training for employee development and oversee/program manage Retention action plans.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:

  • Tracking and maintaining training schedules and courses ensuring certifications are compliant with regulations, policies and procedures
  • Maintaining employees records of competence and assessment
  • Co-ordinating in person training facilitation and organizing logistical support (ordering supplies & materials, catering etc.) in partnership with internal and external trainers
  • Act as a point-of-contact for vendors and participants, ensuring purchase orders and invoices are processed in a timely fashion
  • Tracking and managing certification/training records for site(s)
  • Evaluating Operations technical training effectiveness and learner engagement
  • Tracking and incorporating changes to training program content made at regional level.
  • Monitoring execution of certification activities.
  • Assessing and evaluating potential trainers.
  • Supporting Training staff/Trainers.
  • Oversee Site Action plans on Retention & report progress at Site LT Staff meetings.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred - 3+ years of experience as a Training Coordinator, Project Coordinator or similar role.
  • Experience working for a manufacturing organization would be an advantage
