On July 1, 2026, Apogee completed the acquisition of Kalwall Enterprises, a vertically integrated manufacturer of high-performance translucent daylighting solutions, based in Manchester, New Hampshire. Kalwall Enterprises is currently being integrated into the Architectural Glass segment in Apogee. This position is based on site at Kalwall Enterprises in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Position Summary

The Senior Finance Manager serves as the financial leader for Kalwall Enterprises, including the Kalwall, Kal-lite and Structures Unlimited business lines. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial planning & analysis, accounting, controls and financial reporting. This role ensures the integrity of financial results, drives operational transparency, and provides critical insights that support strategic and tactical decision making.

The Senior Finance Manager partners cross functionally to manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor key performance indicators, and evaluate operational performance against financial objectives. They ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards while proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and process improvements.

This position requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented finance professional capable of navigating complex operational environments, translating financial data into actionable recommendations, and supporting initiatives that drive growth, enhance profitability, efficiency, and long‑term financial health.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Integration

  • With support from the Apogee integration team, complete finance integration roadmap including full transition to GAAP accounting and SOX compliance.

  • Lead team to execute new monthly close process with timeliness and accuracy.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee all accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, standard costing, inventory accounting, and month‑end close.

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, and operational metrics.

  • Maintain and enforce strong internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.

Cost Accounting & Operational Analysis

  • Lead development and maintenance of standard cost models, bill of materials, and overhead allocations.

  • Analyze production costs, variances, labor efficiency, and material usage to identify drivers of performance.

  • Provide financial insights that support continuous improvement initiatives and operational decision making.

Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to prepare the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long‑range financial planning for the business

  • Track performance against budget and forecast, providing clear explanations of variances and trends.

  • Ensure business unit budget and forecasts are achievable, and once committed ensure they are delivered in support of the enterprise commitments.

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a key advisor to the Kalwall leadership team on financial implications of commercial and operational decisions.

  • Support strategic initiatives such as new product introductions, capital investments, pricing analysis, and cost optimization.

  • Deliver insightful analysis to the business leadership team to influence decision making and achieve the organization’s financial goals

  • Confidently communicate information, both written and verbal, to business partners in a clear, concise manner

Compliance, Governance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with and support of corporate policies, audit requirements, and relevant accounting standards.

  • Maintain strong SOX/internal control environments.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and enhance financial reporting capabilities.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop finance team, promoting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

  • Manage day‑to‑day workflow, training, performance management, and capability building within the finance function.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Masters or CPA preferred

  • 10-15 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing envir
