🔧 What You’ll Do
The primary responsibility is to serve as an electrical subject matter expert to Operations and Maintenance activities related to high voltage substation and its equipment. Accountable for developing and maintaining electrical reliability strategies, ensure optimal O&M contractor troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance programs. You will support NERC program management and technical activities related to O&P & CIP standards to maintain high reliability and compliance in TERUSA operating fleet. This position is 80% office-based and 20% fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict compliance with TERUSA Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across all areas of responsibility, and verify that external third parties—including OM Contractors, EPC firms, and consultants—consistently adhere to TERUSA HSE standards.
- Provide leadership for HV substation and collection system electrical equipment reliability strategies and prepare project justifications to address plant reliability issues as well as support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Offer subject matter expertise to TERUSA operating facilities during emergencies involving critical equipment failures and oversee as well as authorizing short-term repair strategies to ensure safe return-to-service decisions.
- Review and approve maintenance procedures/programs, work plans, and technical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to NERC, IEEE, and local regulatory requirements.
