Our Sensors Test Engineering team in Burnsville Minnesota is seeking a Staff Technician to join our team of experienced engineers and technicians supporting production. As a member of our team, you will lead in developing and building innovative test solutions supporting commercial and military and defense sensor products. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide variety of test solutions at various stages of their life cycle. A successful candidate will be a fast learner with the ability to respond to requests efficiently.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Lead researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, and equipment, systems as well as resolving day-to-day technical problems by troubleshooting electrical devices problems on the production line.
Lead in the building of test hardware (cables, boxes, system racks, etc.) and test solutions per engineering drawings.
Create and review test system designs and documentation with engineering to meet customer requirements. Will work in updating documentation (drawings, schematics, BOM, classification) or providing markups of new and existing test hardware.
You will work in a collaborative team environment and be able to communicate effectively with engineers, operators, and technicians.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
5+ years as a technician supporting assembly and or testing.
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
Experience building complex cable assemblies, test boxes, and assemblies of test systems.
Proficient knowledge reviewing and editing engineering schematics and wire lists and Minnesota State Electrical codes and statues.
Proficient knowledge of tools, testing equipment, soldering, and crimping.
Demonstrates good communication and mentorship skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
