About the Role:
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and
performance of Priority’s fintech platform through automation-first testing strategies. This role focuses on designing and implementing scalable test frameworks for APIs and backend services while partnering closely with engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality releases. The position requires strong automation expertise, system-level thinking, and the ability to translate requirements into effective test coverage. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing practices, increase automation coverage, and promote a culture of quality across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of software releases.
Design and maintain automated tests for APIs and backend services.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test strategies.
Write and maintain automated test suites.
Perform API, integration, regression, and functional testing.
Collaborate with developers to understand system architecture and requirements.
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and release activities.
Ensure proper validation of new features before production release.
Contribute to improvements in QA processes, automation coverage, and testing tools.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure quality outcomes.
Document testing approaches and test coverage for new functionality.
Help promote a culture of quality across engineering teams.
