About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a junior engineer. The ideal candidate will have 2-4+ years of full stack experience working with technologies such as Angular, React, and Spring Boot. Candidates must also exhibit proficiency in SQL, a strong understanding of relational database design, and exposure with AWS services.. Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

• Learn the challenging domain of withholding taxes
• Communicate with stakeholders on a regular basis
• Collaborate with seasoned engineers to work on new product features
• Work on a scrum team to deliver bug fixes in a timely manner

Here’s what we're looking for:

• 2-4+ years of full stack experience
• Experience with Angular, React
• Exposure to backend development - Java, Spring boot a plus
• SQL and fundamentals of relational database design (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with AWS service a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment
• Strong work ethic supported by solid time-management skills
• Passionate about creating memorable experiences for customers
• Interest in complex product development problems
• Appreciation for a collaborative, test-driven environment
• Experience turning wireframes and mockups into elegantly executed code
• Well-structured, easily maintainable, well-documented code that balances beauty and pragmatism

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $110,000/yr to $132,000/yr in Scottsdale. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Symmetry has a physical office space in Scottsdale. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role).

When approved to work from a location other than the office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
