An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Strategic Procurement Leader in the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace Business.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating the procurement strategy, supplier selection and performance management. The performance of our external supply chain is critical to all of our business metrics, the Rolls-Royce Procurement team are central to Rolls-Royce success.
You will be expected to lead the activities within the four Strategic Procurement Categories (Raw Material and Forming, Design Make, Complex Machining and Finished Components) and engagement with Operating Business Units (OBUs) and Functions.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
You will use (and further develop) your commercial agility and leadership skills as part of a deployed role working on projects to deliver most value to the Strategic Procurement team.
Evaluate insights including spend analyses, risk management/ mitigation, market research, category analysis, and sourcing event recommendations.
Deliver and action opportunities for cost savings and use expert negotiation skills to deliver value and leverage to contracts regardless of procurement category.
Deliver the wider strategic procurement KPI commitments in line with agreed metrics and ensure adherence to functional processes and procedures.
Mentor the team members that you are supporting and working with enabling high performing teams.
Be responsible for ensuring commercial negotiations are carried out in line with ATS.

Experience of working in similar role at a large organisation in complex engineering or a similar industry.
Stakeholder management experience.
Strategy and negotiation experience.
Ability to work as part of a small or larger team depending on the project.
Ability to influence and deliver results where there may be limited background knowledge.
