Siemens Healthineers is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Director to lead its Business Development & Sales Operations team for its Digital & Automation business across North America. This management role serves as a vital hub for accelerating commercial performance, driving sales operational excellence, and ensuring the business development success of our innovative healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Build, lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team (business development managers, sales operations staff, etc.).
Set clear goals, performance metrics, and development paths for direct reports.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new market opportunities (e.g. new customers, verticals, geographies) for Digital & Automation solutions
Build and maintain executive‐level relationships (CIOs, CTOs, CMIOs, hospital network leadership, IDNs) to secure strategic partnerships.
Lead development and negotiation of large deals, joint ventures, or strategic alliances that extend Siemens Healthineers’ digital & automation ecosystem.
Oversee demand forecasting, pipeline management, win/loss analysis, and opportunity reviews; ensure accuracy in revenue/order projections.
Collaborate with senior leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the Digital & Automation business line.
Monitor profit & loss, gross margins, cost of customer acquisition, ROI of BD and sales operations investments.
Ensure that growth targets (order, revenue, profit) are met or exceeded.
Ensure that sales & BD efforts are grounded in delivering measurable clinical, operational, and financial value for customers.
Enable the field and sales teams to articulate ROI, workflow impact, staffing, throughput, quality, and compliance benefits clearly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years in Business Development, Sales or Sales Operations leadership
Industry experience in healthcare, SaaS, or enterprise automation preferred
Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and high-impact business development teams
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

The base pay range for this position is:
Min $193,390 - Max $290,090Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
