We are currently expanding and have several openings for Senior Manager Strategic Marketing (employmentcountry: Germany/Ingelheim with hybrid solution) in our exciting Therapeutic Area of Retinopathies.
As a Senior Manager Strategic Marketing within our Corporate Therapeutic Area Retinopathies, you will drivethe commercial product strategy and implementation within a portfolio. You will play a vital role in shaping thestrategic definition of our offerings and positioning, ensuring that our products meet the needs of real-worldcustomers and their ecosystem. You will be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from developmentto launch.
Tasks & Responsibilities
In your new role, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Leading the value cross-functional network a cross functional team for our pipeline with high visibility towardssenior leadership for key decision-making.
- Leading strategic marketing throughout the entire asset lifecycle, from start of development (SoD) to launch.
- Driving project leadership, innovation, and disruptive thinking to achieve Retinal Health Portfolio ambitions.
- Driving assets’ development with a strong focus on patient centricity and market understanding. This includes end-to-end development and commercialisation activities, covering the entire process from start ofdevelopment (SoD) to proof of clinical principle (PoCP), pre-launch, and launch.
- Deriving market, customer, and competitor insights through various channels and championing them within the cross-functional team to ensure meaningful outcomes from development to commercialization.
- Leading marketing management, which includes market and competitive assessments, target product profile(TPP) definition, financial forecasts, life cycle management (LCM), labeling requirements, payer andconsumer research, segmentation, positioning, scenario planning, integrated brand planning (IBP), tacticalplanning, and more.
- Identifying and engaging different functions such as research, translational medicine, clinical operations,medicine, commercial development and market access (CDMA), regulatory, market access, sales, managedmarkets, Drug Regulatory Affairs (DRA), Legal, Medical, PR, etc., to understand the brand and develop awinning strategy for asset development, launch, and maintenance.
- Supporting Operating Units (OPUs) in the local adaptation and implementation of global brand strategiesand content to their ICPs (integrated customer plan).
- Providing guidance on operational metrics and optimisation opportunities, and supporting active marketingprocess and planning based on operational and strategic data and metrics.
- Developing marketing programs in compliance with BI policies and global regulations, and supporting theMedical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) team in understanding new channels, data, and capabilities. You willbe perceived as a partner in driving evolution in tactics and strategies
- Master's degree in Marketing/Business Management, Science or a related field. An MBA would beconsidered a plus.
- Extensive experience in marketing, in the pharmaceutical industry is mandatory
- Knowledge in commercialising products on a local as as well as global scale, especially the US, is notmandatory but strongly preferred.
- Experience in early pipeline and/or product launches is strongly preferred.
- Experience in the field of Ophthalomology strongly preferred.
- Ability to effectively interface with senior management at both corporate and market levels.
- General understanding of medical practices, FDA, and EMEA
