About the role

Summary

Our Business Data Analyst play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing and are key to the success of the Wine & Spirits Team. This person will need strong analytical abilities and communication skills to collaborate, educate, and advise internal and external departmental functions. This role ensures the smooth flow of information and insights, enabling informed decision-making and contributing significantly to the success of the organization's sales operations.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Gather, organize, and analyze sales data to detect trends and insights. Create and manage sales performance dashboards and reports. Conduct in-depth analyses to identify factors affecting sales performance and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deploy multiple dashboards with key business insights
  • Ad-hoc report generation to support Wine & Spirits team
  • Assist with strategic planning initiatives to improve organizational reporting. Provide data-driven insights to help develop sales strategies, set sales targets, and identify opportunities for process improvements. 
  • Provide accurate insights into live program performance
  • Maintain and manage data integrity across various platforms. Ensure accurate and up-to-date data for all reporting and analysis needs. 
  • Communicate analytical insights from reports, dashboard, or analysis to support planning measures
  • Proficient in Columbia Distributing’s business processes and applications
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the company’s core values at all times

Work Environment

Work indoors in a sedentary office setting; occasional warehouse or external work required.

 

Physical Demands

  • Lift/carry 20 lbs. repetitively and up to 20 lbs.
  • Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp
  • Climb stairs

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical working hours are Monday – Friday, between 8:00am and 4:00pm.

Local travel only

 

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 18 years of age

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience

Compensation   

  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.  
  • Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
