As a Sr. Project Leader, you will use your project management and technical skills to plan and complete projects to ensure sustainability of existing medical products as well as support new product development efforts. Using strong planning, organization, and collaboration skills, the Project Leader will independently lead a diverse scope of assigned projects with limited supervision including planning, monitoring, and coordinating project tasks, as well as maintaining and updating project plans and schedules. Individual must be able to communicate and collaborate within a cross functional environment with individuals from departments such as Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Sourcing, Purchasing, Product Data Management, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and outside suppliers.

Your Team

The Sustaining Engineering Team, within Front Line Care (FLC) Engineering, is responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating engineering product design development/modifications of current model products and product lines. We are a team of inquisitive individuals who embrace a collaborative environment to take on sophisticated challenges that meet the needs of our patients. We often need to change directions and respond to issues to avoid disruptions in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. Together, we build and maintain a positive work environment.

What you'll be Doing

  • Define project scope and plan
  • Develop and track budget based on project requirements
  • Execute project to plan and make vital adjustments to plan
  • Identify roadblocks, risks, resource constraints as needed
  • Collaborate with cross functional team to ensure success of project plan
  • Prioritize line down projects to ensure continuity in production
  • Provide project updates to stakeholders and project teams based on complexity of project
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop technical justification for required changes
  • Provide technical support in drawing updates, test protocols, design reviews, etc. as required
  • Make minor updates to mechanical CAD drawings as needed for clarification, CTQ markers, etc.
  • Implement engineering changes in SAP and Trackwise

What you'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 
  • 5+ years of project management, change control or other relevant experience  
  • Strong interpersonal & effective communication (verbal & written) skills, strong problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively across different functions, flexible, self-directed, organized, attention to detail, dependable, proactive, and persistent.
  • Experience with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Previous medical device industry experience preferred
  • Prior SAP experience preferred (including DIRs, BOMs, Material Masters and ECRs)

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
