About the role

WinnCompanies is looking for a Regional Maintenance Technician to support various properties in Massachusetts. Your home office will be at The Watson, which is located in Quincy, MA. 
This Regional role would assist the various properties within a 50-mile radius of The Watson and is expected to travel and work across multiple sites based on the need. The weekly schedule would be delivered the week before to allow the employee to plan for their travel to the below various sites: The Watson & Kendrigan Place in Quincy, MASycamore on Main in Brockton, MACurtain Lofts in Fall River, MAChestnut Farm in Raynham, MAQuail Run in Stoughton, MAManomet Place I & II and Whaler’s Place in New Bedford, MAThe Preserve inWalpole,MATammy Brook in Weymouth, MASterling Lofts in Attleboro, MA andSoMa in Mattapan, MA.

You will perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residential common areas, office, grounds and parking lots. This role requires a highly diversified base of knowledge and skills needed to maintain the property to satisfy ownership and management objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, problem solve and make repairs in such areas as, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, and basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Lead and train Maintenance Technician I and II.
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
  • Ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market ready in accordance to company standards.
  • Complete repairs to units, building exterior, building systems and common areas based on direction from Senior Maintenance and Property Manager.
  • Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping and trash management activities.
  • Complete all resident and site work orders in a timely manner.
  • Be available for on call activity during off hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and needs.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and/or carpentry.
  • Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Availability for on-call activity during off-hours for urgent needs.
  • Ability to speak and understand basic English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NSPIRE and/or REAC inspection experience.
  • Vocational or technical training.
  • CAMT certification.
