Data Engineer Intern  

Location: Charlotte, NC   

We're hiring a Data Engineer Intern to be part of the Data Platform team. The data platform team builds out tools and infrastructure needed to source, validate, clean, process, and publish data. Our team is looking for a Data Engineer Intern to help contribute to scaling our data efforts. If you have a passion for data and want to help build Intapp’s next gen data platform that provides actionable insights to drive customer and business outcomes, we’d love to hear from you. 

You will learn how to contribute to the full Data development and apps integration life cycle, including design, modeling, data integrations, unit testing, performance tuning, and deployment activities. 

What you’ll do: 

• Work collaboratively with business leaders to help identify and define the business requirements, design technical solution, and data architecture for self-serve data platform 

• Learn how to build highly scalable end-to-end data integrations pipelines using different data processing tools 

• Assist in defining data integration points, data flow, data strategy and develop functional and technical specifications test plans/scripts to validate the data integration needs, Build and sanity test release libraries 

• Gain insight on how to build infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, cloud based relational or non-relational databases and scripting languages like Python and streaming technologies like Kafka, Spark Streams and Azure Event Hub that allows users to self-serve themselves 

• Apply technologies to solve complex data problems with knowledge in programming languages like SQL and Python 

• Exposure to REST APIs and unstructured data such as ingesting and creating data through the APIs 

What you’ll need: 

• In your Junior year pursuing a BA/BS or master’s degree in Computer Science, any Engineering discipline, and a high interest in Data engineering and Business Intelligence  

• Relevant data engineering and Business Intelligence platforms experience 

• A strong and demonstrable interest in scripting languages like Python, bash, etc... 

• Scripting languages packages for data manipulation (i.e., Python’s Pandas, NumPy, etc.) 

• Scripting languages with packages for REST data ingestion 

What to Expect:   

• Our Summer 2024 Internship Program begins June 3rd, 2024, and is projected to end August 9th, depending on your university schedule.   

• Your professional growth and development will be supported throughout the internship program via project work related to your academic and professional interests, mentorship, and engaging events with other interns and company leadership.   

• Our internship is hybrid and interns will be expected in the office at least 3 days a week to get the full experience of the Intapp culture and networking opportunities, however, we will evaluate as Summer 2024 approaches.
