Department Overview
Motorola’s Software Video & Software organization is a fast paced organization at the front line of driving growth throughout Motorola Solutions. Our team is chartered to define and drive implementation of our growth strategies across our Software, Mobile and Fixed Video portfolio. We collaborate closely with sales, legal, M&A, tax, HR, engineering, IT, finance, among others to identify and resolve gaps in the organization, drive friction out of processes and generally improve the overall operations of the business.
Job Description
Note: This is a hybrid position, candidate should be located in the Chicagoland area. Intern housing is not available for this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work within the organization to identify areas where the organization could improve or streamline a process, including interactions between systems
Define and document recommended solutions to the areas that require improvements and present to impacted business leaders
Possible projects include
Driving efforts to migrate V&S acquisitions onto MSI’s systems and processes, includes coordination with IT, M&A, acquisitions, business leads, tax, legal, and finance
Working with the Product Orderability and Pricing team to rationalize our product offerings and implement a seamless Quote to Cash flow
Process flow and improvement suggestions on the offer Launch process
Collaborate with product managers and engineering to understand new or changing software product requirements
Preferred Skills:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Finance, Supply Chain Mgmt, Process Engineering
Business transformation experience
Experience with order systems, e-commerce systems, or financial systems
Experience with SaaS or subscription based products and services
Proven ability to create and leverage a professional work network
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, managers and subject matter experts
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure and work independently with minimal direction and guidance from project leads and managers
