Shift Electrician

Overview

Electrical maintenance of all plant equipment

Responsibilities

• Understanding of PLC Logic and HMI's (Capable of troubleshooting control issues)
• Industrial Networks (ControlNet, Device Net, Profibus, Ethernet)
• Strong Motor skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of Process Instrumentation and Applications
• Medium and High Voltage Switchgear (up to 161kV)
• Ability to work without direct supervision (Self Motivated)
• Ability to multi-task & follow through on projects with peers.
• Willingness to learn and train others.
• Good communication skills with ability to log activities in a database.
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc...)
• Outstanding work record
• Must be willing to work unscheduled days when needed         

Qualifications

Required:

• Basic knowledge of power distribution, AC motors and motor control
• Experience in relay control circuits and/or PLC’s
• Skilled at troubleshooting, problem-solving, and installation of electrical equipment

Preferred:

• At least 2 years working as an electrician or technician in an industrial environment or a 2-year electrical tech degree.
• Experienced in working on controls and distribution.
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs and drives.
