Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

 

• Helps engineers, customers, and technical stakeholders with the integration of drives into various PLC environments.
• Supports in best practices and solutions for enhanced system or machine performance.

- Helps on system dimensioning, simulations and implementation where needed.

- Creates Feasibility studies and risk evaluations and knowledge on system limits.

• Communicates between development, support/service, application departments as well as with customer.
• Leads or contributes to workshop on updates and new possibilities with relevant stakeholders.
• Obtains field feedback on the usage of drives as input on future feature requirements.
• Keeps himself updated on new trends and state of the art solutions.
• Makes competitor analysis on technical level.

Background & Skills

• Educational Background in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent culture.
• +5 years of experience gained in similar roles within moderately structured multinational environments, operating in related sectors.
• Comprehensive expertise in drives, PLCs, and fieldbus systems, including strong knowledge of motion drive products.
• In-depth understanding of main system components, such as motors and electrical machines.
• Proficient in fieldbus systems, manufacturer frameworks, motors, encoders, electro-mechanical systems, and adept at measurements and root cause analysis.
• Strong proficiency in both Italian and English languages (written and spoken) - knowledge of the German language is considered a plus.
•  This position involves traveling up to 10% nationally and internationally, occasionally even on the same day.
