About the role
<p>We are looking for a full-time Senior Embedded software engineer with AUTOSAR background, to configure and develop full stack software in the Automotive Team based in Cluj. If you are interested in working on Automotive Infotainment, Cameras, Clusters and/or other vehicle systems, this is the position for you!</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul> <li>Configure AUTOSAR stack for different functionalities: Communication (CAN, ETH), Diagnostic, NVM, Security, etc</li> <li>Configure MCAL stack for different types of microcontrollers</li> <li>Be responsible for full development cycle of components in the Application or Basic Software layers</li> <li>Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using problem solving techniques</li> <li>Actively participate to code and documentation reviews and offer objective feedback</li> <li>Work in both an Agile and Waterfall software development environments</li> <li>Estimate level of effort, evaluate new solutions to existing technologies, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide feedback on electrical design aspects</li> <li>May perform as a Technical Leader or Lead Software Engineer for derivative software project</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><br/></p><ul> <li>BSc in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other similar technical field</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of work experience programming in C and AUTOSAR (full stack is a plus)</li> <li>Experience in AUTOSAR architecture and configuration, using code generation tools such as Davinci Configurator, Davinci Developer, Tresos.</li> <li>Experience with CDD (complex device drivers) and SWC (Software Components)</li> <li>Experience with HSM modules for AUTOSAR</li> <li>Experience with Flashing, INC, memory mapping, Display drivers, CAN, Ethernet, etc</li> <li>Experience with implementation of ASIL B SW Components</li> <li>Programming experience on ARM multi-core processors is considered a plus</li> <li>Excellent debug techniques on real time embedded systems</li> <li>Familiar with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Agile working methodologies.</li> <li>Mastery of relevant software engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers)</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>We support you with: </strong></p> <ul> <li> <strong>The Usual: </strong>meal tickets, health services package, kitchen coffee and weekly fruits day, extra bonuses for special events like marriage, Christmas or work anniversaries, sports and wellbeing initiatives, career development opportunities, hybrid working environment. </li> <li> <strong>The Extras:</strong> retirement plan contribution, paid public parking ticket in area 2 of the city, eye prescription glasses, 24 free paid days plus extra vacation days due to legal holidays and based on seniority in Garmin. </li> <li> <strong>The Perks: </strong>company shares, experience Garmin products at a special price or through an internal device library, learning opportunities through access at various learning platforms, trainings, certifications and an internal book library. </li> </ul> <p><em>Garmin Cluj is an equal opportunity employer.
