Position Summary: 

The Senior Patient Access Specialist is accountable for oversight of the patient experience in coordination with ancillary services. The Senior Specialist is responsible for monitoring workflow, training employees, identifying operational problems and assisting managers in all areas of the department. Identifies any service areas/functions within Patient Financial Services, Patient Access and Registration in need of improvement. Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency for ALL Patient Access functions including Registration, Scheduling, Precertification, and Quality Review. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.  

 

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:   

Education: Associate Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Experience: One year or more of work experience in various areas of medical field, Healthcare scheduling preferred.
