Location: Tyson Transformational Academy
Employment Type: W 2, Salary, Non-Remote
Salary: $55,000 
Student Population: At-Risk Youth
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
Bilingual Requirement: Spanish and English 


Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Campus Dean to manage teachers, tutors, and student advisors while fostering a sense of order and trust within the school community. The Dean will serve as a pivotal point of information for staff and will address the direct needs of parents, students, and staff alike.

Overall Duties

Before Shift Begins
  •  Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to school starting.
  •  Manage time and attendance by checking if all staff has clocked in/out.
During Shift
  • Host one weekly staff meeting, determining the day and taking notes.
  • Handle major behavioral issues that occur in the classroom, with teachers sending disruptive students to the Dean.
  • Manage long-term suspensions and expulsion processes for students.
  • Conduct staff evaluations (both informal and formal) twice a year.
  • Collaborate with the recruiter to create a monthly game plan.
  • Oversee the management of Student Advisors (main categories):
    • Student intake
    • Enrollment
    • Payment collection
  • Manage Teacher and Teacher Aide responsibilities (main categories):
    • Daily student engagement
    • I-Ready assessments
    • Vocational Day/Motivational Morning
    • Supplemental Services
  • Prioritize responsibilities to the Assistant Dean (if applicable).
  • Inform HR of staffing needs as they arise.
  • Complete and sign annual FLDOE compliance forms.
  • Ensure all annual inspections and fire drills are completed (fire, health, food, etc.).
  • Continually evaluate campus operations and implement changes to monitor improvements (e.g., monetary, academic, performance).

  • Staff management (attendance, attire, proficiency)
  • Academic team management (I-Ready, orientation, APEX)
  • Student Advisor management (Quickschools, scholarships, private pay, withdrawals, student intake)
  • Collaborate with recruiters for weekly goals and meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with FDOE and state/federal regulations (fire, health, annual surveys, SUFS portal).
  • Manage supplies and maintenance, including incidents and evaluations (formal/informal).
