Key responsibilities:
- As the Group Head of Project and Delivery Management, this is an exciting opportunity to become a highly visible, key contributor to Nortal. With the support of a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled Head of Project and Delivery, you will ensure that project teams are empowered and enabled to successfully deliver client engagements. Reporting to the Chief Seamless Officer, you will work closely with other Group Capability Heads to establish and develop best practices in Capability leadership and competence development. Successful collaboration internally with business development, sales, Country Managers and other Group Function Heads is crucial for success.
- Develop and implement the overall strategy and vision for the Project and Delivery Management capability in alignment with the company's overall strategy, vision, and other capabilities (Strategic consulting, Product and customer experience, Engineering, and Lifecycle services), and market trends.
- Accountable for leading the Project and Delivery Management community (consisting of ~100 project and delivery managers).
- Responsible for creating value propositions connected to Project and Delivery Management capability and connecting those with other capabilities.
- Lead and manage the Project and Delivery Management Leadership Team, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across all regions. Being a inspirational and innovative partner for team members.
- Set performance targets for the capability and ensure these are met or exceeded on a consistent basis.
- Oversee the portfolio of client engagements, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Based on different engagement models (Team Extension, Professional Services, Turnkey Solutions, Managed Service), implement and maintain the best practices, processes, and tools for project and delivery management, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Work closely with other Group Capability Heads to ensure that our client engagements are aligned with our clients' business objectives and provide the best possible customer experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment on project objectives and outcomes.
- Personally responsible for starting and overseeing strategic projects and escalations, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure that client engagements are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards; Taking a hands-on approach, where needed.
- ~30% of time for directly collaborating with customers. Mostly for pre-sales and sales in collaboration with other regions.
About you:
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex customer engagements.
- Deep understanding of modern project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with hands-on experience in different methodologies.
- Excellent results in building cross-border, cross-function and cross-time zone teams and integrating different parts of the organization. Ability to work and navigate effectively in a de-centralized matrix organization and across different cultures and time zones.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners. Exceptionally great at stakeholder management, and an experienced negotiator.
