Job Description

The role of Senior Business Analyst will reside within the Transformation Office, specifically within Business Architecture & Analysis. The role will be focused on leading the transition of Informa Markets from a largely in-person events business to a more digitally focused organization.

The Senior Business Analyst works with business leaders and wider transformation colleagues to interpret business roadmaps, initiatives, impact on operating model, capabilities, processes and assets, to define end-to-end strategic execution and scope that is driven by commercial transformation outcomes. 

The core aspects of this role are to:

• Act as the lead analyst assigned to large strategic transformation initiatives across regional portfolios
• Define, manage the end-to-end scope and ensure production of all required analysis artefacts across the Shape and Discover phases of the change lifecycle
• Support portfolio planning by ensuring both internal and external interdependencies are understood as part of determining the scope and approach to delivery
• Leverage and contribute to the evolving business architecture and analysis knowledge base through a combination of industry standard practices and continuous learnings from change delivery within the business
• Apply your experience and knowledge in support of change initiatives and decision making, such as business transformations, mergers and acquisitions, project portfolio management, and application portfolio management
• Ensure change delivery is supported as and when required during the Delivery phase.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

• Capture the strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability at the portfolio and initiative level, connecting the strategic imperative to the work being done
• Conduct analysis and recommend the best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, user training and/or software procurement
• Ensure application of scaled agile ways of working at the portfolio level are followed at all times, within the remit of business architecture and analysis
• Develop and maintain business relationships with senior business portfolio stakeholders to understand business change needs to feed into the portfolio backlog for planning and prioritisation
• Work and maintain close relationships with transformation delivery managers and enterprise architects within the Transformation Office to set the joint tone for strategic execution
• Articulate scoping impacts across the client lifecycle and enterprise support functions to quickly support initiative and programme orientation for all stakeholder groups concerned
• Define end-to-end scope in the form of process-oriented business scenarios and value streams which cut across enterprise functions. Capabilities and platforms

• Plan the analysis and design activities of work for an initiative by tracking delivery of scope at the initiative level
• Communicate the analysis and design plan to delivery teams and provide support with syndication and alignment prior to delivery
• Ensure solutions developed across the organization are aligned to architectural standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services
