Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Pulmonology

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Gastroenterology Lab/Endoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology team. RNs rotate between pre-op, intra-op and PACU. Regular work week is Monday-Friday, No weekends, No holidays.  This position offers the opportunity to be cross trained for our Interventional Pulmonology services and the team functions as one unit taking care of GI and IP patients in both PreOp and PACU. 

This is a full time, 4x10hr shifts per week. Call is taken on a rotating basis for after-hour emergencies, on weekends & on holidays.

Our experienced, enthusiastic, welcoming team works with both inpatients and outpatients performing advanced endoscopic and pulmonary procedures on adults and pediatrics.

Requirements:

• A minimum of one year Endoscopy/Critical Care Registered Nurse experience in the acute care setting required
• RN with at least 2 years of PreOp, Intra-Op or PACU experience is highly desired 
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
• RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
• BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required
• Must obtain ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire
• Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others
• Proficient computer skills required
