2025 Finance Transformation Summer Internship Program

 

The Finance Transformation Summer Team Member role entails focusing on delivering on our finance transformation strategy, which includes transformation and automation projects to enable operational efficiencies, optimize costs, minimize complexity & risk, and realize value within Finance and other functions.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Learn about the Finance Transformation strategy, which includes a defined governance model.
• Integrate and coordinate with business process owners to understand the current state process and document the process of the current state using process and data flows.
• Assist in defining and designing the envisioned future state (new technical solution) and document the new process using process flows and data flows.
• Develop and implement the new solutions using an agreed-on automation tool, i.e., Alteryx.
• Assist with developing test cases for Quality Assurance (QA) testing of the new solutions.
• Execute and document the functional and quality assurance testing of the new solutions.
• Assist with the validation of the new solutions with the business process owners.
• Assist with training and raising awareness to the business process owners on the new solutions.
• Communicate regularly and proactively with their team on status and challenges faced.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2025 (current senior status)
• The ability to work Monday thru Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from the end of May to mid-August
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn new technical languages (coding) and related skills.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to the evolving business environment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, and deliver quality work.
• Ability to think critically through issues as they arise and propose possible solutions.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders & teams across the organization.
