The Opportunity:
The Associate will support the Political Team in impacting the balance of power in state legislative chambers. The political team works to ensure that candidates have the tools and support they need to win elected office.
This position reports directly to the VP of Political Strategy and will act as a key support for the team, including helping to coordinate Political team activities and meetings; oversee the accurate tracking of data and information, creation of materials, proactively managing deadlines, drafting internal and external communication, and supporting team members with administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will possess excellent project execution skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and critical thinking abilities. Relevant knowledge of political campaigns, government, policy and/or the public sector is a plus.

What You Will Do:
- Principal activities will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure version control and compliance of all Political team documents, including managing and suggesting improvements to shared folder systems.
- Support compliance tracking and reporting, including executing the TSP contribution process, tracking spending, and ensuring spending plans are up to date.
- Ensure the Political Team’s database is regularly updated, including adding polling, candidate filings, key contacts, and other information.
- Conducting district research, including campaign metrics, candidate information, and campaign finance data.
- Track filing and campaign finance deadlines and support team on how internal processes need to sync with these benchmarks and proactively move forward on internal steps post-deadline
- Research as needed to support Regional Political Directors work in states.
- Prepare and send responses to candidate and outside partner inquiries.
- Provide logistical support with travel, scheduling, and planning for team meetings, retreats, or other internal or external events as needed across the Political team.
- Execute our moving money checklist for all out the door political spending.
- Execute our system checklist and ensure that each step moves on deadline.
- Manage Political team budget and track all spending and forecasting
- Support, coordinate and submit expenses for political team members
- Prepare political reports and share agendas, summaries of meetings, and action items after team meetings.
- Support team on vetting candidates, scheduling interviews, and building decks to present / share with the team internally
