Overview
The Sr. Software Engineer - Database is primarily responsible for the performance and stability of critical applications. You will be expected to implement changes, bug fixes that support onboarding of new clients and quick resolution of production issues. You are expected to foster high performing technical teams. You will be required to collaborate effectively with senior developers, offshore development team members, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Work within the R&D team developing supporting analytics systems with patent-pending technology
- Design and implement new solutions
- Learn new technologies and apply them to the problem space
- Peer review software changes by other developers
- Provide technical guidance to the team on the development
- Collaborate closely with offshore development team to provide technical translation of business requirements and ensure software construction adheres to Cotiviti best practices coding techniques
- Continuously update professional knowledge of new technologies as selected and integrated into the Cotiviti product suite
- Execute all appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a desire for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or technically related discipline or equivalent work experence
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
8+ years of experience in development using object-oriented methodologies
Hands-on experience with Oracle (RDBMS) and PL/SQL programming expertise
Deep understanding of advanced features in Oracle database development.
Demonstrated proficiency in Database Development in Oracle RDBMS.
Experience with common tools, Team Foundation Server, JIRA, GIT
Knowledge of functional programming
Understanding of prevalent Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies with specific exposure or participation in Agile Scrum techniques preferred.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Excellent written and communication skills
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods

- Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance
- No adverse environmental conditions are expected
Base compensation ranges from $105,000 to $140,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is based remotely, and all interviews will be conducted virtually.
