Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst with 3 to 5 years of experience at a top-tier investment banking firm to join our growing Financial Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is ready to transition from the intensity of Wall Street to an 1,800 person dynamic, purpose-driven corporate role within the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) industry.
In this role, you will be a critical contributor to our corporate development and M&A strategy, helping evaluate acquisition targets, analyze performance post-acquisition, quarterly lender financial reporting, and support strategic growth initiatives. This position is ideal for a finance professional seeking impactful work with a manageable work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
M&A and Corporate Development
- Lead financial modeling and valuation analysis for potential acquisition targets.
- Perform due diligence (financial, operational, market) for M&A transactions.
- Develop investment memos and presentation materials for executive leadership and the Board.
- Analyze integration plans and support post-acquisition performance assessments.
- Maintain pipeline reports and dashboards tracking acquisition activity and financial outcomes post acquisition.
Strategic Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial performance and KPIs across business units.
- Provide insights into market trends, cost drivers, and capital deployment opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes with M&A scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Operations, and Legal.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in investment banking or private equity.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, comps, precedent transactions).
- Demonstrated experience with M&A due diligence and transaction execution.
- Strong analytical mindset and business judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Experience with post-acquisition integration and performance tracking.
Preferred:
- Prior exposure with analysis related to the Architecture & Engineering industry or project-based services firms.
- CFA designation
- CPA
