At Stancil Services, our warehouse is the heartbeat of our plumbing operations—moving the tools, materials, and supplies that keep jobs running smoothly and crews productive. The Warehouse Worker – Plumbing plays a key role in supporting field and production teams by ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining an organized warehouse environment, and handling the daily flow of equipment and materials.

This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. A successful Warehouse Worker ensures Stancil’s plumbing teams always have the right products on hand, on time, and in excellent condition—helping our projects stay efficient, safe, and successful.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control

Perform daily warehouse functions including purchasing, receiving, and managing plumbing tools, supplies, and inventory items.
Maintain accurate records of stocked products and provide management with updated representations of goods shipped and received.
Verify incoming shipments by comparing invoices to purchase orders and ensure all goods arrive in excellent condition.
Monitor and report missing, damaged, or lost inventory to management.
Participate in inventory counts at company-designated intervals.


Organization & Material Handling

Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization to allow quick and efficient access to plumbing materials and supplies.
Unbox, sort, and store goods in designated locations according to Stancil company standards.
Organize and label shelving, bins, and overhangs to support accurate material retrieval.
Retrieve and prepare items for shipment or field pickup following proper packing and handling standards.


Customer and Field Support

Communicate with production and field managers to ensure needed products, parts, and materials are available when required.
Accurately maintain the company inventory database, including stock levels and updates to warehouse items.
Support field staff by preparing orders and retrieving items efficiently and reliably.

QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

High school diploma or equivalent (GED, college coursework, technical/trade school transcript, or foreign equivalent).
Motivated, collaborative, and able to work well with others.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills (original requirement; preserved verbatim).
Willingness to embrace change in a growing company.
Forklift experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license for 3+ years and insurable under company insurance policy.

 

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

Maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and teamwork to support an organized, efficient warehouse.
Use Microsoft Excel and company spreadsheet tools effectively.
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently (preferred).
Maintain accurate typing, recordkeeping, and inventory documentation.
Prioritize daily tasks and solve problems quickly to support field operations.
Provide a high level of customer service when preparing or shipping items for internal teams.
Uphold reliability, organization, and professionalism when working independently or with others.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

Work performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, including heat above 90°F, cold below 32°F, and outdoor conditions.
Requires frequent walking, standing, climbing, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or handling objects and tools. 
Requires ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
Requires extended periods of physical activity, including standing for prolonged periods.
Requires regular use of hands for inventory handling, sorting, equipment operation, and material control.
Requires ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

Forklift and related warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
Computers, tablets, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Standard warehouse tools and material-handling equipment.
