The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Associate Director, to report to the Director of Data Solutions and support our Commercial team as we prepare for commercialization. This role will ensure critical payer, patient, sales, order, and distribution data are integrated, governed, and delivered as actionable insights.

You will work at the intersection of business stakeholders (Market Access, Patient Services, Channel & Distribution) and data/technology teams, defining the product vision and roadmap for commercial data products. This role is pivotal in enabling launch readiness and ensuring our commercial teams have visibility into payer coverage, patient access, affordability program performance, and distribution channel activity.

The ideal candidate brings product management expertise, technical fluency, and experience with pharma commercial data sources (payer formulary, hub services, specialty pharmacy/distributor data). You thrive in emerging pharma environments, building new capabilities from the ground up while ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the data product roadmap across Market Access, Patient Services, and Distribution to support commercial launch.

  • Translate complex commercial workflows (payer contracting, hub services, SP/SD distribution) into clear, prioritized user stories and requirements.

  • Troubleshoot data issues and continuously improve processes to maintain performant systems and high data quality.

  • Partner with external vendors (hub providers, specialty pharmacies/distributors, data aggregators) to ensure timely and accurate data feeds are ingested into our platform.

  • Oversee integration of Market Access data, including areas such as:

    • Hub and SP data: Benefits Verification, (BV), Prior Authorization (PA), appeals, conversion, time-to-fill, abandonment, and status reporting

    • Dispensing and Inventory data

    • Order and Sales data

  • Support technical infrastructure for dashboards and analytics that provide visibility into:

  • Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance with HIPAA, GxP, and industry regulations.

  • Collaborate with Market Access, Channel & Distribution, Patient Services, and Finance leaders to ensure data supports payer negotiations, access strategy, and gross-to-net reporting.

  • Support data and related actions for QBRs with HUB and Specialty Pharmacy partners

  • Champion agile product management best practices, driving adoption and continuous improvement across teams.

  • Manage and/or mentor junior staff.

Required Skills, Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, computer science, information systems, or related field.

  • 11+ years in a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager, or Commercial Data role, with 9+ years in pharma/biotech.

  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams (Market Access, Patient Services, Channel/Distribution, Finance, IT).

  • Proven experience translating commercial business needs into technical data products.

  • Deep knowledge of:

    • Payer formulary/coverage data (e.g., MMIT, Fingertip, IQVIA).

    • Hub and patient services data (BV, PA, adherence, copay/bridge programs).

    • Specialty pharmacy/distributor data standards, including EDI 852, 867, 844/849.

  • Oncology launch experience with familiarity in unique access barriers (restricted distribution, step edits, high PA burden).

  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, patient privacy, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of gross-to-net drivers (rebates, chargebacks, distribution fees).

  • Experience managing third-party vendors and data partners.

  • Agile/Scrum certification (CSPO, PSPO) or equivalent.

  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, emerging pharma environment.
