About the role

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. For the CP-10 you must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the CP-9/GS-11 level that is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience consists of: 1) overseeing and coordinating airspace security operations and supporting situational awareness, decision-making, and interagency coordination; 2) conducting post-incident debriefings and producing detailed reports; 3) developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and training materials to ensure personnel is fully knowledgeable of operational requirements and safety protocol; and 4) leading subordinate staff in the day-to-day activities of an airspace security operation. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in dealing with matters that are politically sensitive in nature. All eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
