Sr. Events Manager OEM

Job Summary

As the Sr. Events Manager you’ll be responsible for planning implementing managing and overseeing all aspects of assigned events. The goal of hospitality management is to ensure all guests are very satisfied with their stay at the property. While job duties and responsibilities can vary significantly across management positions it is important for these individuals to hold employees accountable to company policies and procedures create an environment of teamwork and maintain effective interdepartmental relationships. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities; for OEM associates overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of three years of event marketing experience
• Possess excellent verbal written and formal presentation skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Skilled in problem analysis problem solving and decision-making
• Process oriented – ability to see from start-to-finish and all of the steps in between
• Excellent copywriting and proofing skills
• Demonstrated ability to sell and negotiate programs/projects
• Above average Excel knowledge; extremely comfortable compiling and manipulating data
• Innovative adaptable collaborative and persuasive
• Technologically savvy
• Exhibit strong leadership organizational and motivational skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure and in a highly energetic fashion.
• Utilize excellent communication skills and incorporates a positive attitude.
• Able to set clear goals and expectations for staff members and self.
• Able to diffuse and deal with stressful situations.
• Effectively multi-task and prioritize tasks on a daily basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure their department is fully compliant with all company standards and regularly verifies that operating standards are followed.
• Take ownership of a situation or task by fully understanding the issue asking for help when needed communicating progress to goal and delivers results on time.
• Ensure that all personnel are thoroughly trained and is willing to provide additional training as needed.
• Open to new ideas and assists in effectively deploying them as needed.
• Interact frequently with guests to evaluate satisfaction with services.
• Proactively participates in recruitment and selection processes for their area of responsibility.
• Prepare staff schedules in a manner that minimizes labor costs.
• Manage in a capacity that maximizes profit margins.
• Communicating event details to pertinent interdepartmental ship personnel
• Assisting in developing event marketing plans
• Implementing event marketing plans (collateral advertising PR social media)
• Maintaining and updating event websites
• Researching and coordinating promotional opportunities
• Serving as community outreach representative for special events
• Reviewing and proofreading all related materials
• Creating and maintaining historical archives of marketing-related activities
• Analyzing ROI and monitoring sales of events
• Acting as a liaison to agency partners on creative media sponsorship and promotional efforts
• Developing partner sponsorships
• Coordinating logistics for media visits and promotions
• Researching updating and maintaining online calendar listings to promote events
• Coordinating production of on-ship event signage
• Monitoring and assisting with event-related social media efforts
• Attending all event-related meetings
