Job DetailsJob Location: 304 City of Virginia Beach - Virginia Beach, VA 23451Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: AnyThe Town Center Assistant Manager assists the General Manager to ensure the Town Center operations encompassing 5 garages, a surface lot, and enforcement operation run smoothly. Effectively manages the operational leaders and respective departments, events, Town Center stakeholders, and facility quality assurance. Develops, reviews, and improves company policies, systematic approaches, and procedures. Ensures that operational standards are met through ongoing training workshops for staff. Works with Upper Management, Clients, Stakeholders, and vendors to improve parking programs. Creates a positive image of the City of Virginia Beach by demonstrating a high degree of professionalism. Motivated to grow as a Parking Professional.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department and staff.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Enforcement department and staff.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Ambassador department and staff.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Supervisor department and staff
Oversees hiring, training, and disciplinary action as needed
Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Developing, reviewing, and improving operational systems, policies, and procedures.
Initiates and coordinates goals, deadlines, and projects for the operation.
Working with GM to develop programs to improve the operation.
Implement and Track KPI performance in Operations
Monitor citation statistics and void percentages.
Monitor maintenance projects and ensure completion percentage.
Monitor and manage vehicle fleet. Ensure that vehicles remain in good working condition.
Create a consistent operational system across facilities.
Create a positive work environment that boosts staff morale.
Delegate coordination of reoccurring training workshops for Operational staff
Collaborate with Upper Management to establish effective job recruiting platforms in the community (including Job Fairs)
Manage incident and claim reporting and processing.
Ensure operations adhere to policies and procedures.
Manages operation memos and other operation documents.
Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications.
Uses Google Mail and Calendar applications.
Participation in Local and National Parking Organizations (PAV, IPMI)
Motivated to grow as a Parking Professional
Knowledgeable of parking options, rules, and ordinances
Uses reporting platforms to research, analyze, and evaluate data.



Addresses and resolves guest and employee concerns.
Ensures safe, secure, and well-maintained facilities that meets environmental, health, and security standards.
Assist in the field with operations as needed for special events and busy weekends.
Promotes a positive image of the City of Virginia Beach
Work hours in excess to normal scheduled hours.
Attending all management meetings.
Attend all work functions (i.e., teambuilding exercises, lunches, event)

Minimum Requirement
2+ years parking experience
5+ years management experience
CAPP/CPP Certifications are a plus
Valid Driver's License
