Description:

NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups (NYPMG) are part of the physician enterprise of NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic health care delivery systems affiliated with two world-renowned medical schools.  Through primary care and multispecialty medical practices, the physicians and other health care professionals of NYPMG, in collaboration with Columbia Doctors and Weill Cornell Physicians, provide families with high quality, patient-centered care close to home in the New York metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures, including Pre-Admission Testing
• Provide a variety of high-level clerical functions for the practice or provider
• Support the administrative team in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Patient Registrar Surgical - Queens Medical Group - Vascular Surgery - Fresh Meadows, NY - Full Time -Days

This position is a full time 36.25 hour Monday- Friday 9:00AM-5:00 PM schedule. Schedule may change based on operational needs. It is location 75-68 187th Street, Fresh Meadows, Queens, NY. May be required to work at other Queens Medical Group locations based on operational needs.

Required Criteria 

• Prior medical office experience
• High proficiency level of Microsoft office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
• Medical Terminology
• EMR experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to schedule and coordinate care plans for patients
• Experience with insurance eligibility and verification
• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Criteria

• Knowledge of Surgery
• Associates/Bachelors Degree
• Prior authorization experience
• Front Desk/Reception experience
