Maintenance Specialist HVAC II Full Time Days

Up to $8,000 Sign-On Bonus available based on experience!

Position Summary

Provides quality general maintenance support of the facilities, Boilers, electrical, HVAC, utilities and equipment components in support of the hospital-wide safety and utility management program. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

• High School education or equivalent. 
• Four (4) years of college or technical training in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and additional trade training 
• Desired: Six (6) years or more experience in a hospital environment with technical training.

Minimum Experience

• Five (5) years experience in institutional environment, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, carpentry and painting is preferred. 
• Desired: Certification for Freon reclamation required..

Physical Requirements

• Requires lifting of 50 lbs. maximum. 
• Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 25 lbs. 
• Frequent use of stairs both up and down, along with climbing ladders, is required. 
• Perceiving the nature of sound by ear for both communication of problems and diagnostics associated with pending equipment failure. 
• Must have the ability to detect differences in color.
