Job Description:
Job Family Definition:
Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.
Management Level Definition:
Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.
In a typical day as a Quality Systems Engineer, you would:
Able to conceptualize, design, and deploy software configurations in support of big data architecture, infrastructure management and complex data analytics capabilities for Quality data ecosystem.
Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities to drive improvements
Leads multiple project teams of other systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to drive delivery of products, platforms and data by integrating quality requirements, processes, and practices.
Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development for Quality data infrastructure
Creates best practices for applying methods to problem domains to support delivery of data and data solutions for end-to-end traceability of parts & product
Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards
Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
If you are…
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Typically 6-10 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge around data systems and touchpoints in product/part life cycle and data integrity methodologies
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate quality architectures, plans, proposals, and results and knowledge of end to end data traceability
Extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages and to test, design, and evaluate products and processes
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including empirical and root-cause analysis, modeling, testing methodologies,
Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions - Management of big data ecosystem/platform, with knowledge around operating systems: RHEL, Linux, Windows etc, Advanced knowledge of Hadoop/Cloudera framework, Linux, Big data tools such as dataiku is a plus
knowledge of analytics software (eg. R, SQL, Python), big data tools – Dataiku, etc. and experience working with database technologies – SQL, POSTGRES etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
