Job Duties

The Trades/Utilities Worker Senior safely provides basic journeyman level skilled support to Central Maintenance Unit in the areas of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and locksmith. This role provides assistance for maintenance services both inside and outside of secure perimeter juvenile correctional facility.

Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of general trades and ability to assist with performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, grounds, and locksmith duties with minimal assistance and guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
- Demonstrated ability to use all tools relative to maintenance trades.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, understand, and communicate instructions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects as required.
- Ability to serve on-call during nights, weekends, and holidays, on a rotating basis.
Additional Considerations
- Valid driver’s license;
- Electrical or other related trades certificate/licenses.
