We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. In this Senior Software Engineer role, you'll build and maintain our Document Control microfrontend application that enables construction teams to manage, organize, and collaborate on project documents. You’ll partner with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver intuitive document management experiences that streamline construction workflows. Use your React expertise, TypeScript proficiency, and system design skills to create scalable frontend solutions that handle complex document operations and user interactions.

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement complex React components and features for document management workflows including bulk operations, file uploads, and collaborative editing

• Build responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern React patterns, hooks, and state management solutions

• Develop and maintain microfrontend architecture using Module Federation to ensure seamless integration with Procore's platform

• Optimize application performance through code splitting, lazy loading, and efficient data fetching strategies

• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress to ensure code quality and reliability

• Collaborate with backend teams to design and consume RESTful APIs for document operations

• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions

• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and participate in cross-team technical initiatives

• Debug and resolve complex frontend issues, including performance bottlenecks and browser compatibility challenges

• Maintain and improve build processes, development workflows, and deployment pipelines

• Stay current with frontend technologies and advocate for best practices within the team

What we’re looking for: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on frontend technologies

• Strong proficiency in React 17+, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)

• Experience with state management libraries (React Query, Redux, or similar)

• Solid understanding of CSS-in-JS solutions (styled-components, emotion, or similar)

• Experience with testing frameworks including Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress

• Understanding of RESTful APIs

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $140,960 - $193,820. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
