ASSYST is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support our client in Austin TX
Location: Austin, TX
Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Position: Hybrid
Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Tues) required to be onsite at the location listed above.
Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).
Job Summary
The Business Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating complex business systems and user needs to develop effective solutions aligned with organizational goals. The role requires a deep understanding of business analysis practices, software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document business processes, requirements, and system specifications to support technology solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Participate in software development reviews, providing expert guidance in analysis, design, and testing activities.
- Perform and support unit, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
- Plan, prioritize, and organize multiple assignments while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients through clear documentation and presentations.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and recommend best practices for business analysis and project delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of proven experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.
- 8+ years of experience with business analysis frameworks, methodologies, and practices.
- 8+ years of experience participating in software development activities including design and testing.
- 8+ years of experience performing or supporting unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
