Senior Analyst - Finance and Operations
Fastly is looking for a Senior Analyst - Finance and Operations. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Finance, this role will play a critical role in supporting the Infrastructure Finance and Operations team manage cost of revenue and capital expenditures in excess of $200 million annually. You will partner with key stakeholders in FP&A, Accounting, Business/Enterprise Systems, and Network Infrastructure teams, among others, to drive key business initiatives. The right person will have a history of working with stakeholders across the organization to build trusted relationships, understanding their business, data and reporting needs in order to build and operate our infrastructure with financial discipline.
What You'll Do
- Cost of Revenue Management:
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support Infrastructure Finance team for activities related to budgeting and forecasting COR - bandwidth, colocation, server depreciation/capital expenditures, managed services to enable long-term, annual, and quarterly planning
- Reporting & Analysis: Create budget/forecast vs. actual reports to explain variances and ad-hoc analytics to better manage cost of revenue
- Gross Margin Analytics: Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Revenue Operations, Accounting, and Infrastructure teams to implement an analytics database for providing insights into gross margins by customer/product/region
- Network Capacity Planning: Partner with the Infrastructure team to assess current and future capacity and utilization and provide financial oversight
- Business Operating KPIs: Deriving actionable insights and recommendations to inform business decisions through application of data analysis to a variety of data sources
Work Hours:
- This position will require you to be available during core business hours.
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and operations roles with a focus on financial metric reporting
- Experience in a relevant field with demonstrated financial acumen and a track record of leveraging data for business impact
- An analytical and forward-looking thinker that can solve business challenges with a proven track record of using data to make strategic business recommendations to senior leadership that improve decision making
- The ability to deliver high-quality work products that are accurate, timely, and insightful
- Comfortable presenting data and providing recommendations with confidence to senior level managers, even when there is ambiguity involved
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a quantitative discipline
- Strong fluency in Excel-GSheets/Powerpoint-GSlides coupled with effective oral/written communication
- Excellent visualization skills, with experience using visualization software (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
- Knowledge of databases and querying languages (e.g. MySQL, Big Query) is strongly recommended
- A positive attitude with a willingness to grow with the role/company
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with an Infrastructure team to analyze Capex and Opex

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.
We are willing to consider remote candidates in US West.
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $83,220 to $122,380.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
