Travel Clinical Onboarding Specialist and Preceptor

About the role

Who we are, OI Infusion Services: OI partners with specialty providers to open and operate infusion centers, grow their practices, lower costs, and deliver better patient outcomes. We are seeking a dynamic professional to fill the role of Clinical Implementation Specialist.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 40 hours 8am - 4pm, however with travel will be outside these hours at times

Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding & Training

  • MSO Client patient capture review and overall process including outreaching to patients via phone, text, portal and/or email (as appropriate)

  • Responsible for onboarding new clients in partnership with the implementation team

  • Oversight of clinically related implementation tasks

  • On-site training, education & onboarding new RNs for our MSOs and NPs and MAs for our Novellas that are hired for new implementation/growth/turnover in conjunction with the Nurse Educator and Regional Operations Director (as key partners) including but not limited to hands on infusion training, online training, platform familiarization, badging, clinical policy and procedure training and implementation and patient charting

  • Overview provided to Novella's Medical Director on policies, procedures, orders and clinical protocols and medication

SOPs, Order Sets & Medications

  • Subject matter expert to onsite clients regarding clinical questions
  • Comfortable working/navigating multiple EMR environments (with training/tutorial)
  • Provide routine education to all RNs for changes in new drugs or updates to policies

Supplies & Equipment

  • Set up all clinical accounts and place appropriate orders
  • Partner with the implementation team and procurement to ensure all supplies and equipment are on site
  • Responsible for set up of infusion space in partnership with Implementation team

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Remote position: ***80% travel required*** this typically means 2-3 days each week
  • Communicating and outreach to patients and providers as subject matter expert and implementation specialist
  • Provide on-site intermittent coverage during nursing gap (leave/vacation/turnover)
  • Additional duties as needed as organization grows

Minimum Requirements:

Required:

  • ASN
  • Compact RN license
  • 3+ years of direct patient care experience
  • Infusion experience
  • 1+ years of clinical education experience
  • Must live within 60 miles of major airport required
  • COVID: Must be fully vaccinated as this is required at some of our partner sites.

Preferred:

  • BSN
  • 1+ years of clinical management
  • Project management and/or New Site Opening experience
