Freelance English to Vietnamese proofreader/translator

Picsart is looking for a freelance translator/proofreader to become a part of our Localization project team. You will collaborate with other translators and report directly to the Senior Manager. Your primary responsibilities will involve translating and proofreading MT/AI-generated translations across all our products and services. For success in this position, it's essential to have a proficient command of Vietnamese and a sound understanding of grammar.

You will

• Proofread content as necessary using the Lokalise tool.
• Translate content when required through the Lokalise tool.
• Manage the translation database using translation management software.
• Ensure the quality of the translation process.
• Work with a wide range of media and translation software.
• Address issues related to translation, localization, and cultural aspects.
• Incorporate feedback and implement changes whenever applicable.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or Linguistics.
• A minimum of three years of experience in the translation field.
• Proficiency in translation tools and software, including Lokalise, Déjà Vu, memoQ, Wordfast, or Trados.
• Knowledge of translation processes, terminology, and localization techniques.
• Familiarity with localization guidelines and standards.
• Competence in translating written materials into a second language.
• Exceptional translation, writing, and communication skills.
• Fluency in at least two of the target languages.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Availability to work on weekdays.
• Proficiency in Google Suite products and Slack.
