Job Summary:

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office Criminal Division/Drug & Racketeering Enforcement Section is seeking a Criminal History Data Administrator. This position will be responsible for the following:

1. Updating AGO criminal histories electronically, by researching and updating Disposition Reports, gathering information to ensure accurate information is captured in the ACJIS database.

2. Research historic cases to ensure dispositions are entered into the system. Communicates with court staff and/or Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Criminal History and/or statewide County Sheriff's Offices' AFIS Divisions.

3. Completing criminal history dispositions entries as it pertains to the current cases, new cases and closed cases.

4. Assist in developing a Disposition Policy and Procedures for the AGO to correctly manage dispositions.

5. Maintain statistical data as it relates to criminal dispositions completed and pending.

6. Answer phones for the Criminal Division and directs calls to the appropriate section staff member.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely up to two days a week based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

 

Job Duties:

• Enters electronic data entry to ensure updated Disposition Reports (criminal histories) are accurately reflected. Research aged cases regarding accuracy. Communicate with court staff and/or Arizona Department of Public Safety Criminal History and/or statewide County Sheriff's Offices' AFIS Divisions with questions related to disposition reports. Answers and directs phones for the Criminal Division.

• Answer phones for the Criminal Division and directs calls to the appropriate section staff member.

• Assist with Disposition Policy and Procedures for the AGO to correctly manage dispositions.

• Maintain statistical data as it relates to criminal dispositions completed and pending.

• Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge of the federal and state policies for the ACJIS system.
• Understanding of the attorney/client relationship including the need for confidentiality and discretion.
• Considerable data entry experience and knowledge.
• Knowledge of technical legal terms.
• Substantial working knowledge of various computer programs, software and applications.
• Knowledge of maintaining statistical data.

SKILLS
• Proficient in data entry skills.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Skill in composing correspondence and legal documents.
• Grammar, punctuation, spelling, basic editing, formats of a wide variety of documents.
• Skill in docketing and monitoring deadlines.
