We are seeking a dedicated and organized Lead Behavioral Health Technician to support the effective operation of our behavioral health facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a compassionate environment focused on patient care and organizational excellence. Fulltime Shift: 

  • Monday to Friday  - ((7am to 3pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Assist the Facility Administrator in managing daily operations 
  •  Facilitate communication between team members, clients, and families to promote effective care
  •  Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for clients and staff
  •  Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives
  •  Daily chart documentation 
  •  Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook
  •  On- Call rotation every other week

Providing behavioral health services to the Mental Health Community of Texas since 1980.  Our behavioral health services have been designed to meet the needs of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. We have worked hard to develop partnerships with local Community Centers and other agencies to provide quality services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in behavioral health preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in behavioral health or related field
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills-
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations- 
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and ethical standards in healthcare- 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required
