Job Description

As a Security Officer Retail Full-Time in LOS ANGELES, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for visitors and staff. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials when required, and helping to maintain order within the location.
• Support emergency response activities by following established procedures and communicating clearly with team members and local authorities as necessary.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to provide reassurance to clients, employees, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
