What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

• Develop and execute strategies for the design, implementation, and optimization of network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity in Scout vehicles.
• Lead the planning, deployment, and management of network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess data needs, establish data governance policies, and implement data lifecycle management best practices.
• Define and enforce data security protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to network and data management, and recommend relevant improvements to existing systems.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of network and data professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. Remote, U.S. based applicants will be considered, however, preference will be given to applicants based near a Scout Motors location in Novi, MI or Freemont, CA. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with colleagues in person and to travel to participate in company events from time to time.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of network infrastructure design, implementation, and management, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Demonstrated, progressive experience building and leading engineering teams with the ability to inspire, motivate, promote collaboration, and drive innovation.
• Strong background in data lifecycle management, including data governance, data quality, data retention, and data privacy.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security standards, and best practices for maintaining a secure and reliable network environment.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and techniques, as well as experience with cloud-based networking solutions.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
