Role reports to: Senior Manager, Global Tax Accounting & Reporting
Location: Kenvue Global HQ in Summit, NJ
Travel: 10%
Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $97,000 to $167,900 This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the North America tax accounting processes including but not limited to quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provision by managing internal stakeholders and co-source provider.
- Oversight over one direct report – Senior Tax Analyst– ensuring the professional and technical development of the team member, including providing timely coaching, candid feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Coordinate with U.S. Direct Tax Compliance and international tax teams, and Regional Tax Planning teams to manage forecasts on direct tax cash flows, and uncertain tax positions
- Identify opportunities and risks for process improvement and automation in tax accounting and reporting in collaboration with Tax Technology team and co-source providers including implementation for tax law changes or new accounting standard updates
- Partner with Regional Tax Planning, Transfer Pricing and Tax Counsel groups on major global transactions and controversies with concentration on the impact to North America region.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments in the North America region, communicate the effects of these developments to management and Regional Tax Planning teams. Create strategies to minimize risk and capitalize on changes to tax legislation. Lead global effective tax rate modeling for proposed and final tax legislations.
- Preparation and/ or review of quarterly and annual complex tax calculations, which may include but not limited to deferred tax assets and liabilities, valuation allowance, uncertain tax positions, and SEC tax footnotes and disclosures.
- Review journal entries to appropriately reflect U.S. GAAP income tax expense, deferred tax positions, or other related income tax maters
