Overview
The Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice at Utah State University is seeking applicants for a Program Assistant & Database Support position. This position will provide a combination of program-related and/or administrative functions that support the Utah Pyramid Model project, including administration of the PIDS database, purchasing, scheduling, coordinating Pyramid Model trainings, and developing and disseminating social media/public awareness materials.
The successful candidate must reside in the state of Utah; working on-site at the IDRPP or another USU office/campus or home office site could be considered. This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah. This position is currently funded through December 30, 2025, with additional position duration contingent upon funding.
This is an hourly, non-benefited position.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the project administrator and project staff.
- Act as a State Administrator of the Utah Pyramid Model PIDS database, including orientations and technical assistance to project sites.
- Develop summary reports from the PIDS database to inform the project.
- Coordinate and purchase Pyramid training materials.
- Perform project assignments, such as scheduling, preparing for presentations, and ordering supplies.
- Coordinate program/department activities, including conferences and events.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of experience or an Associate degree/technical training is required.
- Documented experience in program assistant job assignments.
- Documented experience in providing technical assistance related to data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively assist data collectors and convey technical information.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and develop solutions quickly and efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to managing and verifying data accuracy.
- Requires minimal supervision.
- Produces products and reports in a timely manner.
- Acquires new skills as required by the position.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using Word, Excel, Qualtrics.

Advertised Salary
$20 - $22 per hourADA
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
